The ceramic workshop
'Tinos Ceramics' is situated in a central and peaceful area on the
Island of Tinos, just 2.5 miles north from the town of Tinos. The
studio is near to the Medieval Road which connects the town to the
Castle of Exombourgo, today used as a donkey and footpath. An excellent
starting point for trekkers.
The studio was founded in 1982 as a base for
the
sculptress Margarita
Delatola-Aicher who was later joined by Bernhard Aicher in 1986, an
experienced ceramic teacher.
With Margarita and
Bernhard you can model, making pots on the potters wheel (4 electrical
potter wheels are available), free development, Raku - technique,
ceramic painting, basics of firing ceramic kilns.
You'll get a lot of work experience for your favourite hobby, the long
experiences in business of your course leaders as free lance potters
and as ceramic teachers guarantee this. Course can be adapted to
personal desires concerning main emphasis and course time.
Classes are taking place starting from 2 course subscribers.
